What will you do

The EMEA External Manufacturing (EM) Procurement Director at Kenvue is responsible for leading the External Manufacturing Team for EMEA. In this role, together with your team, you will develop and implement procurement policies and procedures, establish strategic supplier relationships, negotiate long-term contracts, drive operational excellence and ensure compliance with regulatory policies. Additionally, you will oversee vendor selection and quote assignments aligned with portfolio strategy to drive value generation.

Next to portfolio management, a key focus of the role is on engagement with our people, this includes talent development and coaching of the direct team as well as business partnering with key stakeholders across the business.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the procurement function for external manufacturing in the EMEA region
  • Develop and implement procurement strategies that align with the overall business objectives and compliant with regulatory requirements and company policies
  • Identify and evaluate potential suppliers, negotiate contracts and manage supplier relationships
  • Develop mid & long-term portfolio strategies with our team to drive continuous improvement initiatives to optimize procurement processes and reduce costs
  • Collaborate with our supply chain partners to develop a quality & service framework that aims at enhancing resiliency and driving agility across the supplier network
  • Provide leadership and guidance to the procurement team, fostering a culture of excellence and innovation
  • Lead the development of world-class external manufacturing procurement including market intelligence, operational excellence, quotation & contracting processes, as well as developing the next procurement key talents
  • Manage the financial performance of the portfolio and provide monthly metrics and data to top management
  • Stay aware of current market trends and conditions that affect suppliers, cost of goods, pricing, and may have operational or strategic implications for the company

What we are looking for

Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 10-12 years of experience in procurement / supply chain, with a focus on external manufacturing
  • Bachelor’s / Master’s degree or equivalent in a related field
  • Strong negotiation and contract management skills
  • Proven track record of delivering cost savings, operational excellence & process improvements
  • Experience leading and developing high-performing teams

Desired Qualifications:

  • Experience in developing and implementing supplier operational excellence management program(s)
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders
  • Excellent leadership and problem-solving skills
  • Knowledge of business regulatory policies related to the industry
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams of different hierarchical levels and build strong relationships with suppliers
  • Excellent budget management and cost control skills
