About the role
We are looking for a Senior RD&A Seasoning Scientist to develop snack seasonings driven by consumer taste preferences and nutritional targets across different applications in partnership with major crisp manufacturers in Europe. The successful candidate will be based in Frankfurt, Germany. This role is part of Savoury Snacks, a dynamic market focused on clean label, salt reduction and heat level innovation.
Key responsibilities
- Develop cost‑competitive snack seasonings using top‑note and flavour knowledge to meet business and customer requirements.
- Build strong customer relationships, deliver customer‑centric solutions, and drive business growth.
- Analyse market trends, regulations, and customer needs, translating them into breakthrough strategies.
- Collaborate with Flavour Technology, Culinary Foundations, and Portfolio Management to advance collection development.
- Commercialise new products, scale‑up in factory, and ensure efficient manufacturing of developed seasonings.
- Leverage Kerry Technologies knowledge to develop snack seasonings, leading internal and external projects.
- Manage projects and briefs, liaise with Account Managers, attend customer visits, and meet timelines.
- Implement cost optimisation projects to achieve Profit‑Improving Programme (PIP) objectives in partnership with regional PIP leads.
- Use Salesforce, Optiva, MDG, and SAP systems for opportunity management, recipe creation, raw‑material requests, and data management.
- Mentor, train, and develop internal talent to align with organisational objectives.
Qualifications and skills
- People‑management experience.
- BSc in Food Science or equivalent with at least 10 years’ experience in the snack industry.
- Experience developing top‑note flavours for savoury applications.
- Customer‑facing experience.
- Strong project‑management and organisational skills.
- Ability to evaluate ingredients in food applications.
- Innovation skills to develop novel solutions and create competitive advantage for Kerry.
- Results‑oriented mindset with the ability to deliver timely solutions.
