Role Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Team Leader Accounting to join the finance team. Working closely with finance colleagues, internal and external auditors, FP&A, and operational partners, you will contribute to maintaining the integrity of the financial accounting function and support effective collaboration across the wider finance organisation. Key Responsibilities
Lead, mentor, and develop a small team of accountants, fostering a culture of accuracy and continuous improvement Oversee and actively participate in the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes Post, review, and approve journal entries and reconciliations Maintain the accuracy and integrity of the general ledger Prepare and support financial reporting packages in accordance with IFRS Research, resolve, and document complex accounting issues and technical positions Ensure timely and accurate delivery of reporting obligations across the finance function Act as a key contact for external and internal auditors, coordinating requests and documentation Prepare accounting memos for complex or judgmental matters Support SOX compliance activities, including documentation and testing of internal controls Monitor internal controls and support the identification of improvement opportunities Perform variance analysis and provide meaningful commentary on financial results Partner with FP&A, operations, and finance stakeholders on budgeting, forecasting, and ad hoc analysis Contribute to process improvement initiatives and support ERP-related projects as required Your Profile
Professional accounting qualification (CPA, ACCA, or equivalent) Strong knowledge of IFRS and SOX compliance standards Solid experience in accounting or finance roles, with demonstrated supervisory or team leadership experience Experience in a complex, fast-paced, or international environment preferred Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with ERP systems is an advantage Excellent English communication skills, written and verbal Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities Confident communicator, able to engage effectively with stakeholders at various levels Able to manage multiple priorities independently and meet deadlines Due to the collaborative nature of the role, home office is only available to a limited extent.
