Color Development Engineer in Wiesbaden

About the Role

We are looking for an Aesthetic Development Engineer to join our growing technical team in Germany.

In this role, you will be responsible for supporting color and aesthetic development projects for European customers, from initial color requirements and formulation development through sampling, testing and preparation for mass production.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and support color matching, formulation development and aesthetic development for plastic materials.
• Work closely with customers to understand requirements related to color, appearance and product aesthetics.
• Develop and optimize color formulations based on customer requirements and application conditions.
• Support color development from initial sample, color matching and validation through to mass production.
• Collaborate with Sales, R&D, Production and other technical teams to ensure successful project implementation.
• Provide technical support for existing projects and help identify and resolve color-related issues during production.
• Participate in the evaluation and implementation of color solutions for new product development projects.
• Maintain and manage pigments, color samples, color databases and laboratory equipment.
• Establish and continuously improve standardized workflows for color development, color matching and quality control.
• Support the development of local technical capabilities and contribute to the establishment of KINGFA Europe's regional aesthetic development processes.

Your Profile

• Master's degree or above in Polymer Science, Materials Science, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering or a related technical field.
• Professional experience in plastic color matching, pigment application, polymer materials or aesthetic development is preferred.
• Experience working with automotive, electronics, household appliance or other plastics-related industries is an advantage.
• Strong interest in color, product aesthetics and material applications.
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills, with a structured and detail-oriented approach to work.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with customers and international colleagues.
• Ability to work independently while also being an effective team player.
• Willingness to occasionally travel within Europe to support customer projects and technical activities.
• Good command of English; knowledge of German or Chinese is an advantage.
