To be successful in this role you must have :A passion for excellence, a keen and proven interest in software and programming as well as robotics and automation, the ability to work in a team environment, the technical skill to produce software (PLC and higher-level) of a high quality, and the drive to complete tasks within the required time frameAn understanding of professional software development. During development, focus will be on producing high quality software. This includes aspects of designing, developing, testing, documenting, enhancing, and supporting this softwareBe able to set standards within your assigned technical area and mentor more junior engineersBe able to work collaboratively with peer technical leads with the intention of standardising development amongst global development teams.What we are looking forSuccessful candidates will possess the following :5 Years’ Experience as a Senior Controls Software EngineerBachelor or higher degree in Mechatronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Computer ScienceExperience in PLC or real-time controller programmingExperience in designing and developing software using a higher-level or object-oriented language such as C#, C++, C, Python, Java, Visual Basic, etc.Experience in an agile development environment is beneficialSome experience in HMI / SCADA / GUI development is beneficialHands-on experience within the Automated Material Handling Systems or similar industry is beneficial.What we offerDematic has the soul of a start-up with a culture that ensures every person can be themselves, make an impact and have a harmonised work-life balance.
