Overview
In this role you will advance KLA’s metrology capabilities, focusing on optical light sources to enable high-precision inspection and measurement. You will work within the FaST division to improve system performance and support production, customers, and suppliers with technical feedback. You’ll perform hands-on lab work, characterize systems, and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to drive impactful improvements. This is a global, fast-paced environment where your work directly influences the quality and scalability of semiconductor manufacturing.

Verantwortungsbereiche
- Develop cutting-edge metrology technology with emphasis on light sources

Zentrale Anforderungen
- Master’s degree (or PhD) in Physics / Optical Engineering or equivalent
- 3+ years of relevant experience in system development and experimental engineering
- Background in plasma or laser physics beneficial
- Experience with data analysis tools (MATLAB / Python)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving mindset; ability to translate data into decisions
- Sense of urgency and result-orientation
- Fluent English communication; comfortable working across cultures and disciplines
- Occasional domestic/international travel (~10–15%)
