Group/Division
Enabling the movement toward advanced chip design, KLA\’s Measurement, Analytics and Control group (MACH) is looking for the best and brightest research scientists, software engineers, application development engineers and senior product technology process engineers to join our team. The MACH team\’s mission is to collaborate with our customers to innovate technologies and solutions that detect and control highly complex process variations—at their source—rather than compensate for them at later stages of the manufacturing process. Our MACH team develops leading-edge solutions for patterning process analytics and control technologies, thereby providing customers with critical insight at the feature level, field level and cross-wafer analysis. Our teams also develop advanced modeling simulation, data analytics and process control modeling technologies. As a member of the MACH team, you’ll be joining the most sophisticated and successful process-control company in the semiconductor industry–working across functions to solve the most complex technical problems in the digital age.

As a trusted software solution provider within KLA — one of the leading equipment manufacturers in semiconductors — we build and maintain software that ensures a stable and efficient production process in semiconductor manufacturing.
Our team in Dresden City Center is looking for a Scrum Master (f/m/d).
About The Role
A Scrum Master at KLA:

  • Is responsible for one or two teams.
  • Coaches the team, the department, and the organization about agile values.
  • Supports the Product Owner and developers in the team to deliver a valuable product.
  • Shapes our working environment and work processes with ideas and drives our team to get better.
  • Challenges the management with the team’s needs to become self-organized.
  • Collaborates and aligns with other ScrumMasters.

About You
We value and love to work with a diverse group of people from all backgrounds.

  • You are a certified (e.g., PSM, CSM) Scrum Master with proven experience in agile software development and/or a suitable university degree.
  • You are passionate about helping and coaching colleagues.
  • You are curious about the current problems and challenges of the semiconductor industry, one of the most thriving high-tech industries in the world.
  • You should enjoy developing a software that solves our customers problems as much as we do.

Things to know
Within the KLA corporation, we are collaborating with teams around the globe. We have teams based in USA and China. There are opportunities to travel and work with them. Yet, we try to keep things as local and simple.
Our industry has a strong interest in quality, reliability, and regulation, but we endeavor to provide continuous delivery and automate as much as possible.
We do NOT commit on textbook Scrum but to the agile values. It is up to the teams to find their best fitting agile way of working.
Why you should work for KLA
KLA is an Equal Opportunity Employer. Applicants will be considered for employment without regard to age, race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, protected veteran status, disability, or any other characteristics protected by applicable law.
The Dresden office is located in the city center with a great view from the terrace and a perfect transport connection and infrastructure. Besides the common benefits (team events, fruits, drinks, football table, XBOX …) you can park your car or bike in the garage, learn or improve your languages skills or visit a semiconductor fab.
You can flexibly choose, if you spend 5 days of the week in the KLA office, or work up to 2 days from home.
You will receive a permanent employment contract, with flexible working hours, and we are happy to support you with eventual relocation or Visa request.
How we hire
We want to be as transparent as possible about our recruitment process and share what awaits you.

  • Review application

We will review the submitted application and respond as soon as possible.

  • Call with recruiter

In case of a positive review, our recruiter will contact you to clarify questions on both sides.

  • First Interview

The first interview is usually done with one of our HR specialists and one of our Scrum Masters.

  • Second Interview

In the second interview, you will meet your manager and talk to one of the members of your prospective team. Also, it usually turns out to be a friendly talk and less structured interview.
The whole interview process can be done remotely. However, we aim to have at least one interview in person, as this is usually combined with an office tour, a lunch together with some team members and a session with one of the ScrumMasters or developers sharing insights about our daily work.
Minimum Qualifications

  • Hold a university degree with a technical, social or economic orientation (e.g. psychology, economics, communication science, natural sciences, informatics, physics) or a comparable course of study.
  • You can demonstrate several years of experience in agile software development and have already worked as a Scrum Master.
  • A Scrum or a similar agile certification would be of advantage, however bringing an agile mindset is more important.
  • It would be advantageous if you also have experience in scaled agile environments.
  • It would also be beneficial if you are already familiar with other agile methods (Kanban, XP, Lean Development, etc.).
  • You actively seek potentials for improvement and exchange ideas with your colleagues.
  • You are highly proficient in written and spoken English.

We offer a competitive, family friendly total rewards package. We design our programs to reflect our commitment to an inclusive environment, while ensuring we provide benefits that meet the diverse needs of our employees.
