We are looking for an (Junior) Compliance Specialist – EPR to join our Product Compliance team as soon as possible. Our team consists of four colleagues with diverse backgrounds, combining legal and technical expertise. In this role, you will support and further develop our Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) processes, ensuring that regulatory requirements are met accurately and efficiently across multiple markets. You will focus on managing compliance data, supporting reporting activities, and improving processes to ensure smooth and reliable fulfillment of EPR obligations. You will also contribute to upcoming projects, including the integration of AI solutions to simplify and enhance compliance workflows. Are you ready for your next chapter at Klarstein?

What you will do:

  • Create accurate and timely EPR reports and support registrations and filings with relevant authorities across multiple markets
  • Monitor changes in EPR legislation and help implement new regulatory requirements into day‑to‑day compliance processes
  • Manage compliance‑related data by ensuring accuracy, maintaining documentation and dashboards, and supporting internal and external audits
  • Build strong relationships with external service providers and collaborate with internal stakeholders (e.g., Data, Sales and Product teams) to ensure smooth compliance processes
  • Monitor EPR‑related costs, invoices and budgets to support accurate financial reporting and transparency
  • Identify opportunities to improve compliance processes and contribute to initiatives that increase efficiency, including AI‑driven solutions
  • Collaborate closely with the Product Compliance team to ensure consistent compliance activities and support sustainability objectives across European markets

What we are looking for:

  • Degree in Law, Engineering, Business or a related field
  • Strong data skills: advanced Excel, confidence working with large datasets, excellent attention to detail, and an eye for optimizing manual tasks
  • Ability to interpret legal requirements and translate them into practical, actionable steps
  • Strong organizational and communication skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and collaborate with stakeholders across Europe
  • Adaptability and proactive mindset, with the ability to work in a dynamic and evolving regulatory environment
  • Interest in cross‑functional topics, with the ability to understand concepts across law, finance, product and environmental compliance
  • Fluency in English; German (B2 or higher) is preferred

Nice to have:

  • Initial experience in EPR reporting, regulatory or product compliance
  • Knowledge of SAP or Power BI
  • Experience in improving compliance processes or supporting AI‑driven initiatives in a business environment

What we offer:

  • 40 % employer contribution to the company pension plan
  • Up to 28 days per year working from abroad (EU)
  • Public transport ticket grant and 30 % discount on our products
  • A bright, modern, dog‑friendly office on the Spree in Friedrichshain – rooftop views included, four‑legged colleagues welcome
  • Team breakfast every two weeks – where we actually talk, not just stand‑up updates
  • Support by a team of highly skilled and dedicated colleagues who celebrate successes together at our company events

If you match most of the profile and are excited about developing your expertise in EPR compliance, working with data, regulations and international stakeholders, we would love to hear from you.
