About the Role

We are seeking an innovative, technical, and results-driven leader to head our Digital Center of Excellence (CoE) within Körber\’s Group Function Innovation & Technology. This role will shape and accelerate Körber’s digital transformation by building foundational capabilities, frameworks, and best practices that support innovation at scale across all Business Areas and regions.

The Digital CoE aims to be a global enabler—expanding beyond Europe to strengthen digital capabilities across the Americas and Asia. The Head of Digital CoE will lead this expansion, building a connected, global organization.

Working closely with Körber’s Business Areas, the role will ensure alignment of CoE initiatives with strategic priorities, developing roadmaps that deliver measurable outcomes. Integration across hardware, software, AI, and digital capabilities is essential to unlock the full potential of Körber’s technology portfolio.

This strategic role balances long-term vision with execution, empowering Business Units with tools, platforms, and capabilities to accelerate innovation. Reporting to the Chief Technologist, the role will shape Körber’s digital backbone to support scalable growth.

You will be the person that…

• Expands the global footprint of the Digital CoE, especially across the Americas and Asia.
• Collaborates with Business Areas to develop digital roadmaps aligned with their strategic goals and financial targets.
• Facilitates integration across hardware, software, AI, and digital domains.
• Shapes and guides the evolution of the Digital CoE to ensure relevance and business impact.
• Defines digital strategy and aligns CoE efforts with transformation goals.
• Understands functional needs of Business Areas and delivers digital solutions to support their success.
• Leads cross-functional teams of experts in Software, Data, Design, and Generative AI to achieve tangible outcomes.
• Coordinates efforts across Engineering, Commercial, and Operations teams.
• Keeps ahead of industry trends and incorporates external insights.
• Manages the CoE budget, ensuring effective resource use and ROI.
• Sets KPIs and success metrics to evaluate impact and optimize performance.
• Builds and mentors a multidisciplinary team, fostering collaboration and innovation.
• Balances agility with scale, delivering high-impact results.

Qualifications

• Senior leadership experience in digital transformation, with a proven ability to lead and empower teams.
• Experience establishing and leading Digital Centers of Excellence in complex environments.
• Proven track record in delivering digital platforms and tools.
• Growth mindset, comfortable with ambiguity and experimentation.
• Hands-on experience in software development, data science, or related fields, with business acumen.
• Experience in manufacturing or industrial sectors is highly desirable.
• Exceptional leadership and stakeholder management skills, including engagement with C-level executives.
