For the Vienna office, we are looking for a Statistics & Modelling Consultant (m/f/d).

As an engaged and innovation-oriented consultant, you will analyze and optimize customer biotechnological processes with a highly qualified and enthusiastic team. You will use cutting edge statistics and data science techniques to support biopharmaceutical clients in order to develop, characterize, validate, and manufacture novel biotherapeutics. You will actively engage new technologies and applications to continuously provide customers with innovative approaches to their challenges.
Workplace will be Vienna with homeoffice possibility (not fully remote).
Your role in our team
Perform data analysis with state-of-the-art approaches using advanced statistical and mathematical models using Python packages
Help our clients to speed up process development and increase manufacturing efficiency using modelling approaches
Propose statistically underpinned experimental designs for process development and process characterization
Continuously seek out new and innovative approaches to solving problems in the domain
Contribute to large projects within the industry, reporting to a Project Lead and reviewing all findings for technical rigor and accuracy
Interpret, present, and communicate results, suggestions, and solutions to clients
Assume visibility on large projects within the industry / Presentations before industry leaders
Business development: potential to attend conferences and industry gatherings aimed towards expanding network
Your profile
Master’s degree and/or PhD with a focus on life sciences, bioprocess engineering, or statistics / data science
Interest or experience in biotech/bioprocess engineering
Interest in interpreting and presenting statistical results to clients
Familiarity with Python i.r.t. data contextualization, visualization, and statistical analysis, and mathematical modelling (differentail euqations)
Experience with object-oriented programming
Experience in interpretation of readouts of statistical analysis, such as regression analysis, ANOVA, design of experiments is a plus
Familiarity with ordinary and partial differntial equations applied to chemical engineering problem is a plus
Proficient business English and preferably proficient business German
Team-oriented disposition / comfortable working with an interdisciplinary team (Biotechnologists, Computer Scientists, Statisticians)
Highly autonomous and results oriented in tight timelines

We offer an attractive salary package in line with your qualification, experience and individual competencies.
