SOX Specialist and IT/Finance Process Analyst (remote with 1 day/week onsite in Munich) - April 2025

For one of our clients we are looking for a SOX Specialist and IT/Finance Process Analyst (remote with 1 day/week onsite in Munich)

Background of the project:

Overarching SOx project for the implementation of adapted and new SOx processes and controls in the area of legacy in the finance and technology area.

Specifications:

• Development of optimization potentials of control or risk gaps for the SOx Control/Process Owners and Executors: Manual Billing, Accounts Receivable, Fixed Assets, Stocks, Closure of Income Accounts, Accounting Consolidation, Accounting Closing, Technology MM, TECH-Service Operations, TECH-Common Service.
• Advising the Sox Control/Process Owner and Executor on the implementation of changed or new Sox controls.
• Development of E2E process views taking into account pre-processes and systems.
• Creation of solution concepts for process optimizations in the area of SOx ITGC, taking into account the existing IT end-to-end processes, as well as consulting on necessary steps for implementation in the transformational projects or project initiatives (SOx project, RAITT, TechFuel, Fuel, FASTT, Fenix).
• Identification of potential automatic controls as well as consulting and implementation of automation.
• Analysis of the requirements for a UAT standard process as well as the implementation of this process.
• Analysis, consulting and further development of quality measures, in particular IPE conformity, as well as implementation of new standards within the Telefónica SOx control landscape.
• Implementation of the requirements in the respective projects mentioned above as well as implementation of the necessary tracking.
• Preparation of information for management decisions.
• Implementation of SOx training courses adapted to the respective requirements of the SOx Control/Process Owner and Executor.

Objective technical requirements for the consultant:

• Detailed knowledge of operational IT and financial processes along the entire value chain.
• Expert knowledge of the requirements for an internal control system according to SOx.
• In-depth knowledge of the implementation of Sox controls.
• Professional experience in IT and process project management.

Must Haves:

• Experience in SOx implementation.
• SAP S/4HANA Experience.
• German language proficiency.
• Celonis (Experience and Certificate).
• Aris (Experience).
• Experience with IPE compliance.

Nice to Have:

• Industry expertise in the field of telecommunications.
• English language proficiency.
• UAT Experience.
