Korn Ferry has partnered with one of our clients on their search for an experienced Global Wage Tax Compliance Manager / Lohnsteuer Experte.
Scope and Purpose of the role
Lead and manage all wage tax-related matters across the organization of one of our international clients. This role involves guiding and supporting local HR payroll teams, ensuring compliance with wage tax regulations, and identifying opportunities to optimize tax incentives.

- Guidance and Support: Provide expert guidance and support to local HR payroll teams to ensure adherence to local wage tax regulations and requirements.
- Tax Incentives: Identify opportunities to reduce the wage tax burden through efficient tax incentives related to benefit programs.
- Employee Transfers: Manage the wage tax aspects of employee transfers, assignments, and relocations globally. Ensure compliance with wage tax regulations in various countries for Global Mobility transfers.
- Analytical Skills: Utilize strong analytical skills to navigate regulatory and legal issues related to tax compliance and global mobility.
- Monitoring Processes: Monitor global hypo tax and shadow payroll processes to ensure local tax requirements are met.
- Training and Support: Provide training and support to HR colleagues to enhance their understanding of wage tax and mobility policies.
Qualifications, Skills, and Competencies
- University degree in Tax, Law, Finance, or a comparable field, with deep knowledge of German wage tax law
- Proven experience in wage tax compliance and global mobility in a corporate or advisory environment
- Strong analytical mindset, paired with the ability to translate tax law into practical solutions
- Confident communicator who can engage with stakeholders across departments and all levels
- Experience in vendor management and collaboration with external advisers

- Willing to work on-site 5 days per week (area of Stuttgart)
