Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree or College Diploma in Engineering in: Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial, Automotive, Mechatronics or Electrical Engineering or related field with equivalent in experience.

Job Responsibilities

Product Design & Engineering Ownership

  • Serve as the technical owner for assigned automotive components or systems throughout the product lifecycle and technical point of contact for OEM customers on assigned products.
  • Develop, review, and maintain product designs, drawings, specifications, and engineering documentation
  • Ensure designs meet OEM customer requirements, internal engineering standards, and regulatory obligations
  • Apply DFM/DFA principles to optimize manufacturability, assembly, quality, and cost

Program & Product Lifecycle Support

  • Support product development from concept through launch and production
  • Support design validation and testing activities, SOP readiness, initial builds and launch activities
  • Participate in customer design reviews, technical meetings, and issue resolution
  • Participate in program milestones and design reviews
  • Provide ongoing production engineering support for quality, performance, or manufacturing issues
  • Lead or support problem‑solving activities and support cost reduction and value engineering initiatives
  • Evaluate design alternatives to improve performance, durability, quality, and cost

Quality & Compliance (APQP / IATF)

  • Participate in and support APQP activities, including timing plans and deliverables
  • Lead or support DFMEA development and maintenance
  • Support PPAP preparation and submission, including design‑related documentation
  • Ensure compliance with IATF 16949 requirements, CSR’s and internal quality procedures

Engineering Change Management

  • Initiate, evaluate, and manage Engineering Change Requests, assess impact of changes
  • Coordinate change approvals with customers and internal stakeholders
  • Maintain accurate revision control and documentation records

Health, Safety & Wellness

  • Prioritize safety and comply with the Health and Safety Management System.
  • Support risk reduction, hazard identification, and continuous improvement efforts.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and wellness legislation and KSR standards.
  • Uphold and adhere to the KSR Code of Ethics and Professional Conduct.

Environmental

  • Promote the global Environmental Management System with a focus on footprint reduction, recycling, and resource efficiency.
  • Ensure compliance with environmental legislation and KSR standards.
