Overview
As a Senior Internal Auditor at Kuehne+Nagel, you lead risk-based and special audits across our global operations, evaluating controls, risk management and governance. You provide independent assurance to management and identify emerging risks with actionable recommendations. You work with senior stakeholders across functions and regions to support a data-driven, modern audit function aligned with strategic objectives. You will shape processes and transformation initiatives, leveraging analytics and AI-enabled techniques to enhance coverage and insight.
Verantwortungsbereiche
- Plan, execute, and lead risk-based and special audit engagements globally
- Assess internal controls, risk management, and governance frameworks
- Conduct fieldwork, analyze processes, and identify improvement and mitigation opportunities
- Prepare high-quality audit documentation, reports, and presentations per GIAS
- Present findings to management and track remediation actions
- Identify emerging risks and support strategic initiatives and transformation activities
- Apply data analytics, technology, and AI-enabled audit techniques to broaden coverage
- Build and maintain trusted, independent relationships with stakeholders across regions
Zentrale Anforderungen
- Master's degree in a related discipline
- Professional certification such as CIA or equivalent
- Minimum 7 years in Internal Audit, ideally in a multinational or Big Four environment
- Strong knowledge of internal control frameworks, risk assessment methodologies, and GIAS
- Experience delivering end-to-end audit engagements in corporate, finance, or operations
- Strong analytical, communication, interviewing, and report-writing skills
- Experience with data analytics and interest in AI/tools and automation
- Fluent English; willingness to travel internationally up to 30-40%; German advantageous
