KWS Berlin GmbH is seeking a Working Student (m/f/d) to join our Order to Cash Operations in Berlin. If you are interested in gaining hands on experience in a global corporation, and you are motivated and a team player, we look forward to getting to know you soon. This exciting job is a temporary 6 to 24 months working student contract with 20 working hours per week.
Your tasks:
- Process incoming customer payments in accordance with SLA
- Maintain and clear customer accounts
- Provide customer balance confirmation and perform reconciliations
- Process customer returns, rebates, and refunds
- Generate statement of accounts and process dunning letters
- Assist with monthly, quarterly, and yearly closing activities in a timely manner
- Resolve account discrepancies and contact customers accordingly
- Calculate provisions, write-offs, and bad debts devaluation in accordance with IFRS 9
- Engage customers in collection efforts in writing as well as over the phone
- Create manual invoices and manage cheques
- Support the Business Units with daily requests as needed
- Participate in meetings as necessary
Your Profile:
- BA or MA degree in progress. Areas of preference are Business Administration, Accounting or Economics. Correlated areas such as International Relations will be considered. Other areas such as Statistics, Data Science, and Mathematics are also of interest.
- Prior experience in finance/accounting is a plus
- Organized, detailed oriented, and able to work in a multicultural and diverse environment
- Excellent communication skills and team mindset
- Knowledge in programing and/or scripting (coding) are a plus. Other digital skills (e.g. SQL) are an advantage.
- Fluency in English is essential. Knowledge of German is desirable. Other languages of interest are Polish, Swedish, and Dutch.
