Job Description
ELECTRO MECHANICAL ENGINEER Function : Your main mission consists in providing design and analysis services in the area of electrical engineering. These services shall support product development throughout Client’s different business units. In these areas, you will closely collaborate with other involved disciplines, such as mechanical engineering.
The responsibilities include: • Designing, dimensioning, implementing, testing and maintaining electrical, electro-mechanical and motion control solutions, including Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) code, for internal products and external customers, • Interacting with the different partners and customers in order to support and integrate the HITEC electrical and automated solutions, • Defining, documenting, implementing and testing new features and technologies in existing or new products in order to improve the solutions, • Presenting, explaining and defending important features and concepts in discussions with the partners, • Actively supporting the testing process of the solutions by maintaining and driving the functional tests using existing or new test plans, • Helping develop and put in place best practices in terms of product design & verification, • Pro-actively introducing, documenting and disseminating new technologies and concepts in the technology survey activities of the department. Profile : • Engineer or master level diploma in electrical or automation engineering, • At least 5 years of experience in a relevant field of activity, including electro-mechanical devices such as electrical motors and power electronics, • Ability to work in an English-speaking environment including technical discussions and documentation activities, German, French and Luxembourgish being considered a plus, • Ability to adapt to new situations and work with various type of stakeholders and partners to achieve the desired results, • Control theory background and knowledge of PLC and PC programming languages (Structured Text ST, Java, C++ or Python) is considered a plus.
