Function
Your main mission consists in designing and maintaining electro‑mechanical sub-systems for the satellite ground segment and the rubber industry testing equipment.
- Lead the design of electrical installations and controller solutions for the satellite ground segment and the rubber industry testing equipment: define, document, implement and test new concepts, features and technologies in existing or new products
- Define electrical safety concepts
- Create and/or supervise and review the creation of production documentation, user manuals and test procedures
- Provide guidance and expertise to colleagues
- Start‑up in‑house designed machinery and commercial components
Interaction with Internal and External Customers
- Present, explain and defend important features and concepts in discussions with the customers and use their feedback to improve and troubleshoot the products
- Interact with suppliers to follow‑up the production and acceptance process of the electrical sub‑systems, select components and perform obsolescence management
Profile
- Have a bachelor’s or master’s degree in electrical or automation engineering
- At least 5 years of experience in the design of electrical installations, electrical safety concepts, including electro‑mechanical devices such as motors, and related drawings (EPLAN P8)
- Good team spirit
- Ability to work in an English‑speaking environment including technical discussions and documentation activities. German, French and Luxembourgish are considered as a plus
- Control theory background and knowledge of PLC programming languages (Java, C++ or Python) is considered a plus
