We are seeking a highly experienced and strategic Global Quality Director to join our dynamic team. This pivotal role will lead the development and implementation of a world-class global quality strategy, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations, and driving a culture of excellence across our entire organization. As a key leader within the company, the Global Quality Director will be responsible for managing all aspects of quality assurance and control across both internal and external manufacturing operations, while partnering with cross-functional teams to deliver innovative, high-quality products to market.

How you will create a beautiful impact:

Quality Strategy & Governance

  1. Develop and implement a comprehensive global quality strategy aligned with business objectives and the BDF group’s vision.

  2. Define and enforce quality standards, policies, and procedures across the entire value chain.

  3. Ensure adherence to international regulatory requirements (e.g., FDA, EU Cosmetics Regulation, ISO 22716, GMP).

  4. Establish and drive a culture of quality, continuous improvement, and operational excellence.

Product & Manufacturing Quality Oversight

  1. Oversee quality assurance (QA) and quality control (QC) processes for both internal and external manufacturing operations.

  2. Define and monitor key quality performance indicators (KPIs) to track performance and ensure continuous improvement.

Supplier & Third-Party Management

  1. Develop and enforce robust quality standards for third-party manufacturers (3PMs), suppliers, and contract manufacturers.

  2. Lead and manage audits (internal, external, and supplier) to ensure compliance with company and regulatory requirements.

  3. Drive continuous improvement programs with suppliers to enhance product quality and sustainability.

Regulatory & Compliance Management

  1. Ensure compliance with global regulatory requirements (e.g., FDA, REACH, ISO, GMP, local market regulations).

  2. Lead critical regulatory interactions and ensure the integrity of processes such as skin adverse reactions and recall management.

Innovation & New Product Development (NPD) Support

  1. Collaborate with R&D, marketing, and manufacturing teams to integrate quality into the product development lifecycle.

  2. Define quality standards for new formulations, packaging innovations, and assess risks before product launches.

Crisis & Risk Management

  1. Lead quality crisis management efforts, including product recalls, consumer complaints, and media-sensitive issues.

  2. Proactively implement risk assessment frameworks to mitigate quality and safety risks.

  3. Act as the key escalation point for critical quality issues affecting the brand reputation.

Leadership & Team Development

  1. Build and develop a high-performing global quality organization.

  2. Foster a strong quality mindset across all functions and levels of the company.

  3. Lead cross-functional collaboration with manufacturing, R&D, supply chain, and commercial teams.

  4. Drive training and development programs to elevate quality competencies across the company.

Consumer Complaints

  1. Lead efforts to analyze and address active consumer complaints, identifying root causes and implementing effective corrective actions to enhance customer satisfaction.

  2. Develop and execute strategies to reduce complaint volumes through process improvements, quality control measures, and cross-functional collaboration, ensuring continuous improvement and compliance with regulatory standards.

What you need to have to be our next audacious and creative talent:

Industry & Functional Expertise:

  1. 10+ years of experience in Operations, Quality Assurance (QA), and Quality Control (QC) within cosmetics, pharmaceuticals, or FMCG industries.

  2. Strong knowledge of GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices), ISO 22716 (Cosmetics GMP), FDA regulations, EU Cosmetics Regulation (EC 1223/2009), and other relevant global standards.

  3. Experience in luxury cosmetics, skincare, fragrance, or personal care is highly preferred.

  4. Proven track record in leading quality for multi-site operations, including internal manufacturing, third-party manufacturers, and suppliers.

  5. Experience with new product development (NPD) quality and cross-functional collaboration with R&D, marketing, and supply chain teams.

  6. Expertise in handling regulatory audits and interactions with regulatory authorities (e.g., FDA, European health agencies).

Leadership & Management Experience:

  1. Experience in leading and developing global or multi-country quality teams.

  2. Ability to influence senior leadership and collaborate with cross-functional teams, including R&D, Operations, Supply Chain, and Commercial.

  3. Expertise in managing crisis situations, including product recalls, major quality incidents, and consumer complaints.

  4. Demonstrated ability to drive cultural change and implement a quality-first mindset within an organization.
