Footwear Designer & Developer

FOOTWEAR DESIGNER & DEVELOPER Sports & Performance (m/f/d) | Full-time | Salzburg, Austria

Are You Passionate About Sports and Footwear? Bevaform is an owner-managed international footwear company based in Salzburg, Austria. Together with our worldwide production partners, we create footwear for major European retailers – from the first idea through design and development to commercial production.

For our small and experienced development team, we are looking for someone with a particular passion for Sports & Performance Footwear.

Your Tasks

Create and develop new footwear and design concepts

Work on the creative and technical aspects of the development process

Create and maintain designs and tech packs, including technical drawings, patterns, color CADs and material maps

Research and analyze market needs, competitor products, new materials and technologies

Turn creative concepts into technically and commercially viable products, considering design, performance, costing and production requirements

Review and optimize samples regarding design, fit, quality, manufacturability and cost

Work closely with our development and production teams in Asia

Monitor development timelines and proactively address delays or deviations

Contribute to collections, product concepts and presentations for our customers

Your Profile

Education in product design, footwear design/development or a comparable field, combined with several years of professional experience in the footwear industry

Genuine passion for footwear, sports, design and product creation

Strong eye for design, proportions, colors, materials and trends

Good technical knowledge of footwear construction, materials, pattern making, soles and fitting; basic knowledge of footwear testing is an advantage

Ability to combine creative thinking with technical understanding and commercial awareness

Adobe Illustrator skills; experience with 3D software such as Rhino is a plus

Very good English skills; German language skills are an advantage but not a requirement

Structured, independent and solution-oriented way of working with a hands-on mindset

Strong communication skills and the ability to manage multiple projects
