The impact you’ll makeJoin Lam as a Manufacturing Engineer where you’ll play a crucial role in supporting the new product pilot production factory, virtual manufacturing, or high-volume manufacturing production factory. Using your knowledge of technology and engineering principles you will oversee the planning, development, and maintenance of manufacturing methods, processes, and operations. You'll tackle technical, quality, and production challenges. Your expertise optimizing manufacturing costs and standards helps shape Lam's commitment to innovation and efficiency in manufacturing.What you’ll doVerify designs of new modules/products/changes and analyze design for manufacturing.Combine BOM strategy with manufacturing lineReview design solutions in terms of safety, ergonomics, tooling, Form-Fit-FunctionCreate Work Instructions and production process stepsImplement cost-efficient methods of assembly for all phases of manufacturing.Implement non standard customer requests onto products and transfer to manufacturingSupport to transfer new products into high volume manufacturing.Work closely with suppliers and remote factories (including traveling)Implement new ideas and defining new ways of processes to reduce costs and assembly timeContinuous Improvement for products, process and manufacturingWho we’re looking forBachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Production Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field with 5+ years of experience; or equivalent experience (Technical education/HTL Electrical/Mechatronic)Skilled troubleshooting capabilities in the areas of electro/mechanical assembliesExperience on lean manufacturing and Design for Manufacturing methodologies preferredHands on experience with CAD, NX or similar toolsExcellent oral and written communication skills in EnglishMS office & SAP skills preferredSelf managed and proactive working styleAbility to travel to suppliers or other Lam locationsWhat We're OfferingThis position will be occupied in Villach. A higher payment is negotiable depending on expertise and skills. The monthly salary is paid 14 times per year.
