Overview
In this role you manage purchasing activities to secure timely, cost-effective inventory. You will coordinate with manufacturing, planning and engineering to meet demand and maintain supplier performance. You’ll handle RFQs, change orders, and daily PO releases while nurturing supplier relationships and forecasting future needs. The position emphasizes cross-functional collaboration, process discipline, and cost reduction within a technical, fast-moving environment.
Verantwortungsbereiche
- Review, analyze and process purchase requisitions
- Process purchase change orders and RFQs to suppliers
- Manage daily purchase order releases to meet demand
- Coordinate purchasing with manufacturing, planning and engineering for cost-effective, timely inventory
- Engage with suppliers daily to ensure deliveries are met
- Understand and maintain weekly reports
- Develop and maintain key supplier relationships and review open items, performance, forecasted demand and cost reductions
- Support on-time deliveries and continuous supplier performance improvements
Zentrale Anforderungen
- Commercial education (apprenticeship LAP or HAK)
- Experience in semiconductor or other technical industry preferred
- Basic understanding of commodity market indicators and technical data
- Six Sigma certification, 8D training, APICS certification
- Prior experience managing the commercial and tactical aspects of supply chain requirements
