C+F Engineer (all genders) in Villach

Overview

In this role, you will design and define advanced mechanical and electro‑mechanical systems for Lam's etch and deposition products. You’ll conduct feasibility work, testing, and guide design teams to fabrication, shaping packaging decisions. You collaborate with suppliers and internal teams to ensure manufacturability, quality, and cost‑efficiency. You’ll present design intent and validation results to diverse audiences and mentor junior engineers. This role offers impact in semiconductor packaging technology within a global engineering group.

• Drive new mechanical developments from concept to feasibility with focus on heating technologies
• Solve problems creatively and collaborate with specialists to turn ideas into reality
• Prepare high‑quality reports and technical presentations communicating design intent and validation
• Collaborate with suppliers and internal teams to ensure manufacturability, quality, and cost optimization
• Provide technical guidance and mentoring to junior engineers

Zentrale Anforderungen

• University master degree in Mechatronics Engineering or Mechanical Engineering
• 3–5 years of relevant experience
• Experience in the semiconductor industry
• CAD experience with Inventor or NX (or similar) is beneficial
• Technical knowledge of mechanical design and simulations/calculations is beneficial
• Strong analytical skills and numerical ability
• Good oral and written English communication skills
• MS Office knowledge
