Overview
In this role you drive process engineering research and development for Lam’s complex semiconductor capital equipment. You will evaluate manufacturing processes from pilot to production, plan new approaches, and analyze data to define process limits. You’ll support customer demos and technology adoption, collaborating with cross-functional teams and suppliers to bring new solutions to customers. The position combines technical leadership with direct customer engagement to advance process technologies at the site.

Verantwortungsbereiche
- Perform professional process engineering R&D for semiconductor equipment and evaluate manufacturing processes across pilot to full-scale production
- Conceptualize and plan projects introducing new processing concepts and approaches
- Compile and analyze test data to determine process specifications and control variables
- Support customer demos planning, data collection, analysis, and reporting to defend existing applications
- Lead adoption of new technologies at customer sites and assist with tool qualifications through on-site demos and evaluations
- Collaborate with customers, senior engineers, and suppliers to align roadmaps, requirements, and supply readiness
- Contribute to product development and release activities
- May act as CTM-single point of contact for process-related requests
- Engage in cross-functional work to address customer needs and business challenges
Zentrale Anforderungen
- Ph.D./MA degree in Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, Chemistry or Physics
- 8-10 years of experience as a Process Engineer in the semiconductor industry, with emphasis on clean/wet etch processes
- Experience in chemical laboratories, surface preparation and analytical techniques
- Strong knowledge of Statistical Process Control (SPC) and/or Design of Experiments (DOE)
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks under shifting priorities
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively in diverse, matrix environments
