Overview
In this role you will lead the Remote Factory (RF) supply chain, shaping procurement, planning, and material control for high‑volume manufacturing. You will drive end‑to‑end supplier performance and cost efficiency while ensuring supply continuity across internal and remote factories. You’ll align demand, capacity, and procurement strategies to support ramps and volume fluctuations, and you’ll lead cross‑functional collaboration to optimize the Remote Factory network. This position offers the chance to influence large‑scale supply chain architecture and supplier ecosystems in a global manufacturing setting.

Verantwortungsbereiche
- Lead and manage the Remote Factory (RF) commodity team of Supplier Business Managers and Strategic Commodity Managers
- Own end‑to‑end RF supplier performance across delivery, cost, quality, capacity, and risk
- Manage high transaction volumes, including capacity planning, order execution, reschedules, expedites, and shortage resolution
- Align manufacturing demand, MRP signals, and capacity plans between internal and Remote Factories
- Develop and execute RF commodity strategies with supplier segmentation, capacity reservation, and risk mitigation
- Serve as primary escalation point for RF supply issues and drive root cause analysis until resolution
- Collaborate with other commodity leads to ensure seamless supply where non‑RF items feed into Remote Factories
- Drive supplier performance metrics (OTD, lead time, inventory, capacity adherence) and lead continuous improvement initiatives
- Partner with Operations, Planning, Engineering, Logistics, and Finance for supply chain alignment
- Lead contract negotiations, commercial frameworks, and SLAs with RF suppliers
- Support scaling and optimization of the RF network through process standardization and planning maturity
Zentrale Anforderungen
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, Logistics, or related discipline
- 8+ years of experience in Supply Chain, commodity management, or factory materials management in a high‑volume manufacturing environment
- 3+ years of people management experience
- Proven experience with Remote Factories and Contract Manufacturing
- Strong understanding of MRP, production planning, and supplier capacity management
- Experience managing high‑spend, high‑transaction supplier portfolios
- Strong knowledge of purchasing agreements and contracting
- Proven ability to manage cross‑commodity and cross‑functional dependencies
- Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and decision‑making skills
- Solid written and verbal communication skills in English
- German knowledge would be an asset
