Overview
In this role, you will support Lam’s customers by delivering on-site repair, maintenance, and installation services for complex semiconductor systems. You will troubleshoot to component level, minimize downtime, and collaborate with teams to provide effective field solutions. You’ll stay current on equipment and product knowledge through training and certification, and you’ll mentor junior engineers while representing Lam with customers. This position offers meaningful impact in ensuring operational excellence for critical production equipment, with opportunities to shape field service and customer satisfaction.

Verantwortungsbereiche
- On-site repair, maintenance, installation/relocation services for Lam’s electro-mechanical and electronic systems at customer sites
- Analytical problem-solving, diagnostics, and issue isolation to component level; implement corrective actions to reduce downtime
- Stay up-to-date on semiconductor capital equipment and Lam products via training and certification
- Assist in complex field modifications and updates; maintain records and coordinate activities between Lam and customers
- Act as subject-matter expert to deliver exceptional customer satisfaction
- Troubleshoot and develop customer response action plans; discuss opportunities and challenges transparently to build trust
- Provide technical instruction and mentoring for junior engineers
Zentrale Anforderungen
- Bachelor’s degree in Electronics, Engineering, or related field with 5+ years of experience; or Master’s degree with 3+ years; or equivalent work experience
- Previous experience with installation, maintenance, repair, or troubleshooting of semiconductor capital equipment
- Proficiency in interpreting electrical and mechanical schematics, diagrams, and operation manuals
- Ability to work in a clean room environment and wear PPE
- Physical ability to perform job tasks (bending, standing, climbing, etc.) for extended periods
- Willingness to travel frequently domestically and internationally; flexibility for various shifts, overtime, and on-call
- Strong communication skills (written and verbal) in English
- Analytical and problem-solving mindset
- Ability to mentor junior engineers and collaborate with cross-functional teams
- Interpreting electrical and mechanical schematics and manuals
- Troubleshooting and diagnostics of complex electro-mechanical/electronic systems
