Overview
As a Field Service Engineer at Lam, you enable customer operations by delivering on-site repairs, maintenance, and installation for Lam’s complex electro-mechanical systems. You’ll work closely with customers and cross-functional teams to minimize downtime and implement field modifications. Your role combines hands-on technical work with mentoring and clear customer communication to sustain high performance. This is a chance to contribute to operational excellence in the semiconductor equipment space and help customers optimize their capital assets.

Verantwortungsbereiche
- Provide on-site repair, maintenance, and installation/start-up services for Lam’s complex systems at customer sites
- Diagnose problems, perform diagnostics, and isolate issues to component level to reduce downtime
- Stay current on semiconductor capital equipment and Lam products through training and certification
- Assist with complex field modifications and maintain records to coordinate between Lam and customers
- Act as a subject matter expert, delivering excellent customer satisfaction
- Troubleshoot and develop customer response action plans to meet needs
- Discuss opportunities and challenges with customers to build trust
- Provide technical instruction and mentoring to junior engineers
Zentrale Anforderungen
- Bachelor’s degree in Electronics, Engineering, or related field with 5+ years of experience or Master’s with 3+ years
- Experience installing, maintaining, repairing, or troubleshooting semiconductor capital equipment
- Proficiency in interpreting electrical and mechanical schematics, diagrams, and operation manuals
- Ability to work in clean room environments and wear PPE
- Physical ability to perform job tasks (bending, reaching, walking, etc.)
- Frequent domestic and international travel with availability for varied shifts, overtime, and on-call as needed
