Overview
In this Field Service Engineer role, you’ll be the frontline for Lam’s customer support, ensuring operational excellence of complex semiconductor equipment. You’ll work cross-functionally to install, repair, and maintain systems at customer sites, driving uptime and performance. You’ll translate technical insights into trusted service, while staying current with Lam products and industry standards. This is a hands-on role with meaningful impact on customer outcomes and equipment reliability.

Verantwortungsbereiche
- Provide on-site repair, maintenance, and installation/relocation startup services for Lam’s electro-mechanical and electronic systems at customer sites
- Perform diagnostics, troubleshoot to component level, and take corrective actions to minimize downtime
- Maintain records and coordinate activities between Lam and customers
- Be a subject matter expert representing Lam to customers and drive exceptional customer satisfaction
- Discuss opportunities and challenges transparently with customers to build trust and update on tool status as needed
Zentrale Anforderungen
- Bachelor’s degree in Electronics, Engineering, or related field with 2+ years of experience, or advanced degree without experience, or equivalent
- Ability to interpret electrical and mechanical schematics, diagrams, and operation manuals
- Experience or ability to work in a clean room environment with PPE
- Physically able to perform tasks including frequent bending, reaching, standing for extended periods
- Willingness to travel domestically and internationally; flexibility for varied shifts, overtime, and on-call
- This is a graduate eligible role
- Communication skills in English (written and verbal)
- Foundational analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Customer-focused mindset
- Proficiency with basic computer skills and MS Office
- Experience in installation, maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of semiconductor capital equipment
- Ability to interpret schematics, diagrams, and operation manuals
