You will help ensure technical objectives are achieved through effective design supervision, evaluation of test and feasibility results, implementation of design changes, and delivery of proper documentation to relevant functions. By coordinating closely with Global Product Support and Product Management and by developing a strong engineering team, you will enable efficient execution, high-quality solutions, and ongoing improvement in product and organizational performance.What you'll doSupervise and support a team of engineers in the execution of technical and design-related activitiesManage and prioritize service tickets, including assignment, escalation, follow-up, and resolution trackingDrive continuous improvement initiatives for products, processes, and engineering workflowsOversee and support design activities and provide design supervision to ensure technical quality and timely executionCoordinate technical issues, escalations, and improvement actions with Global Product SupportCollaborate closely with Product Management to align on product requirements, field feedback, priorities, and implementation needsFacilitate communication across engineering and cross-functional teams to ensure efficient problem-solving and executionSupport the development of robust technical solutions that meet quality, performance, and customer expectationsBachelor degree or equivalent is required with 2- 4 years of supervisory experience.A strong engineering professional with experience in mechanical engineering or a related technical fieldA team-oriented person with the ability to guide, coordinate, and support engineers in a dynamic environmentSomeone with experience in one or more of the following areas:Automation DesignElectro-Mechanical SystemsFluid Systems DesignSusbtrate HandlingWet Chemistry hardwareTestingA clear communicator who can work effectively across functions and with global stakeholdersA proactive problem solver who is comfortable balancing day-to-day operational support with longer-term improvement initiativesPreferred qualificationsMaster's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent10 years of relevant professional experience in mechanical engineering, product development, technical support, or a related technical environmentAt least 3 years of people management experience, with 5+ years preferredExperience with service ticket management and issue tracking systemsKnowledge of product development, design review, and technical change processesExperience driving continuous improvement in engineering or manufacturing environmentsAbility to coordinate effectively with global support organizations and product management teamsExperience in semiconductor equipment, advanced manufacturing, or another high-tech industry preferredStrong English skills;

German language skills are an advantageThis position is subject to the Austrian Collective Bargaining Agreement for employees in the Metal Technology Industries in occupation group G, depending on educational background. A higher payment is negotiable depending on expertise and skills.
