Our library vision, The Library Towards 2025, sets out our ambition to be a library that is connected, that goes beyond providing just a service and building, and works in partnership with all Lancaster University communities. Central to this vision is the work of the Library Teaching and Engagement team, who are the interface between the faculties, departments and the library, and who engage with the wider community, developing partnerships with local schools, colleges and community groups.
An opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and proactive individual to join the Library Teaching and Engagement team within Academic Services. You will provide liaison and support for the Faculty of Science and Technology and Faculty of Humanities, Arts and Social Sciences. You will contribute to:
- Establishing and developing partnerships with academic colleagues;
- Improving the learning, teaching and research experience taking responsibility for information literacy teaching;
- Developing Library collections and resources;
- Supporting users to access and use resources;
- Successfully delivering on projects for both the team and wider Library
You will be a confident communicator with proven experience of building relationships with academic colleagues and students.
