We are looking for an experienced Digital Merchandiser to create relevant, commercially effective and locally appropriate shopping experiences for the German market. You will combine customer insight, commercial judgement and hands‑on digital merchandising expertise to determine how products are presented, discovered and connected across our German digital experience.
This is a role with meaningful ownership. You will not only deliver the day‑to‑day plan, but also spot opportunities, make recommendations and independently drive improvements that strengthen product discovery, conversion and commercial performance.
Your work will support digital demand and revenue, conversion, product discovery and search performance, product and category engagement, and the continuous improvement of the German customer experience. Success will also be reflected in your ability to identify opportunities, take effective action and demonstrate the impact of your decisions.
You will sit within the European eCommerce team and work closely with UK Site Merchandising, EU Merchandising & Planning, Marketing, Brand & Creative, CRM, Digital Product, Content, Analytics, Technology and external partners. You will balance customer needs, brand presentation and commercial priorities while helping to develop stronger tools, standards and ways of working.
A hybrid working model is possible for this role.
About Lands' End
Lands' End is a global multichannel retailer with more than 50 years of experience designing and selling classically styled clothing. Service to the customer sits at the heart of our business, and we are committed to creating a welcoming, safe and inclusive culture for customers and employees.
What You Will Do
- Own German digital merchandising: Manage day-to-day merchandising across designated categories, journeys and trading priorities, including the creation, maintenance and linking of relevant destinations.
- Make products easier to find: Optimise navigation, taxonomy, collections, sequencing, filters, on-site search and cross-merchandising to create intuitive paths to purchase.
- Turn insight into action: Analyse category, product, search and customer-journey performance, then translate findings into clear merchandising actions.
- Localise for the German customer: Use local behaviour, demand, seasonality and trading performance to determine where the German experience should differ from wider European execution.
- Bring campaigns to life: Partner with Marketing, Brand, Creative and Merchandising & Planning to deliver locally relevant seasonal stories, launches, franchises and promotions.
- Optimise and improve: Review browse and discovery journeys across devices, develop hypotheses, support or lead tests, and apply learning to future activity.
What You Will Bring
- Proven relevant experience in digital merchandising, eCommerce trading, online merchandising or a closely related role.
- Demonstrable hands‑on ownership of customer-facing eCommerce experiences within a retail, fashion, apparel or other product-led environment.
- Commercial and analytical confidence, with experience turning performance and customer-behaviour data into practical actions.
- Experience working across product categories, customer journeys and trading priorities, and collaborating with Merchandising, Planning, Marketing, Creative, Product and Analytics.
- Fluent German is mandatory, together with English working proficiency.
- A proactive, organised and collaborative approach, with the confidence to make recommendations and progress work independently.
Tools And Experience
- Strong Excel skills and experience with web analytics platforms such as Adobe Analytics or equivalent.
- Hands‑on experience with eCommerce platforms, digital merchandising tools and content management systems.
- Experience with on‑site search, product discovery or merchandising platforms is strongly preferred.
- Familiarity with experimentation, personalisation or customer analytics tools is advantageous.
- Experience with the German eCommerce market, localisation, A/B testing, platform transformation, automation or AI‑enabled merchandising would be beneficial.
- HTML knowledge is helpful, but not required.
Our benefits for you:
- Hybrid work model
- Free access to a local gym and swimming pool
- Employee discounts on Lands' End products
- Employer contribution to the company pension plan
- Free parking at the office
If you combine German-market insight with strong eCommerce judgement and a hands‑on approach, we would like to hear from you.
