German and English speaking Accountant

A great opportunity has arisen for an experienced Accountant to join a international developer and manager of shopping malls, and support the Property Management Accounting department in Germany. You’ll maintain and analyse accounting records, prepare month-end reports, and handle ad hoc analyses. You’ll also manage statutory accounts, annual service charge documentation, fiscal and VAT compliance, and audits for our German Outlet centers. Treasury and bank-related tasks are also part of your role.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare statutory financial statements for German entities.
Oversee annual service charge reconciliations.
Provide information and support to external auditors.
Assist with corporate audits and liaise with the Group Audit Manager.
Maintain fiscal records and support tax compliance and audits.
Prepare and reconcile VAT returns.
Assist with monthly management accounts and reconciliations.
Collaborate on financial reporting and provide SOX documentation.
Manage treasury tasks, including bank account monitoring and administration.
Support administrative tasks for investor changes and Workday implementations.
Implement global processes and additional Workday functionalities.
Handle other ad hoc tasks as needed.

Qualifications:

Qualified accountant with post-qualification experience.
Knowledge of German GAAP.
Experience with statutory accounts, fiscal matters, and audits.
Familiarity with accounting systems (ERP experience is a plus).
Advanced Excel skills; intermediate Word and Outlook skills.
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
Fluent in German and proficient in English.
