Job Highlights
- The pay for this position starts at $20.30 per hour and increases to $22.80 after fully trained (90-120 days). Room to grow and cross train. Overtime available. Shift premium up to $1 per hour. Great benefits (eligible first day of employment), bonus plan and employer 401(k) contributions.
- Safely operate all production equipment including curing presses, cutters and trimmers, buffers, scales, fork lifts, hoists, sprayers and hand tools following operating procedures and specifications.
- Use computers, touch screens and mobile scanners to operate equipment, record production and complete training.
- Inspect product for quality and package correct quantity in bags and boxes as specified.
- Maintain legible and accurate production and quality records and checklists.
- Maintain production rates to meet the production schedule.
- Maintain a clean and organized workplace and maintain equipment in excellent operating condition.
- Minimize waste generation, follow waste handing guidelines as specified in plant procedures.
- Promptly report any process upset, spill, injury, chemical release, security event, etc.
- Follow the direction of the shift supervisor in a professional manner.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required. Associates Degree a plus.
- Computer literacy and basic math skills.
- Able to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Minimum one year of experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Able to obtain forklift operator certification.
- Mechanical aptitude.
- Safety conscious team player.
- Excellent attendance record.
- Ability to work flexible shifts, including overnight, weekend and overtime hours.
