Overview
In this role, you will define and execute the global growth strategy for LANXESS's asphalt additives. You will lead market development in Europe with expansion across other regions, represent the business at industry events, and build strategic relationships with customers, partners, and research institutions. You will collaborate with innovation and sales to refine value propositions and pursue new product opportunities, driving stage-gate projects from concept to commercialization. A global, cross-functional mindset and travel readiness are essential to accelerate growth.

- Define and drive the global growth strategy for asphalt additives
- Lead market development in Europe and support growth in other regions
- Represent the business unit at industry events and customer interactions
- Build and manage strategic relationships with customers, partners, associations, and academia
- Establish and optimize channel partner networks for growth
- Collaborate with innovation to refine value propositions for current and new products
- Collaborate with sales and partners to position and present solutions
- Identify and develop new product/applications in asphalt leveraging existing tech
- Lead innovation projects from concept to commercialization using stage-gate processes
- Support or lead additional strategic growth initiatives beyond asphalt within the region
Zentrale Anforderungen
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Materials Science, Engineering, Business, or related field
- Minimum 5 years in business development, sales/marketing, technical services, or related roles
- Minimum 5 years in the asphalt industry with suppliers, producers, or related participants
- Experience with warm mix asphalt and/or polymer-modified bitumen preferred
- Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving in dynamic environments
- Collaborative across functions and cultures in a global setting
- High ownership, accountability, and ability to manage multiple priorities
- Professional-level English and German communication skills
- Willingness to travel ~30–40% domestically and internationally
