Overview

In this role you drive LANXESS's strategy transformation and contribute to global business decisions. You will analyze global trends, prepare board-ready analyses, and lead cross-functional strategy initiatives. You’ll screen M&A targets and portfolio options, coordinating across corporate processes and resource planning. You’ll shape future strategy with new tools, methods, and AI capabilities, aligning with the company’s mission and growth goals.

Verantwortungsbereiche

• Lead and participate in high-impact global strategy projects in cross-functional, international teams
• Prepare analyses of global trends and assess their significance for the chemical industry and LANXESS
• Create analyses and presentations for LANXESS Board of Management and Supervisory Board
• Screen and evaluate peers, potential M&A targets, and LANXESS portfolio measures
• Coordinate across corporate processes, strategy cycles, and resource planning
• Shape future strategy work by enhancing core strategy capabilities, customer focus, and AI capabilities

Zentrale Anforderungen

• 3-5 years of professional experience in strategy consulting or strategy roles within a large corporation
• Ideally chemical or related industry experience
• Master’s or PhD degree in chemistry, natural sciences or related fields
• Industry knowledge of chemical markets and value-chains
• Strong AI-enabled strategy capabilities
• Highly analytical with an entrepreneurial mindset
• Accurate, fact-driven, and able to present complex scenarios to target audiences
• International experience; fluent in German and English (written and spoken)
