(Senior) Coffee Trainer (m/f/d) – LAP Coffee

Join LAP as a senior coffee trainer and elevate barista skills and coffee quality across our expanding team. With stores in Berlin, Munich and Hamburg, you’ll champion best practices, lead training and enable every cup to reflect our mission and values.

What You’ll Do

• Deliver blended coffee education sessions (online & in‑person) for our Berlin‑based workforce, collaborating closely with our Learning & Development Training Lead.
• Lead practical workshops on espresso extraction, advanced milk texturing, brewing methods, efficiency & sales, and all key service elements.
• Design and update engaging training materials: text guides, tasting frameworks, video tutorials, interactive Q&A resources and eLearning/blended learning content for digital platforms.
• Assess performance and skills to drive growth and maintain high standards across every store.
• Mentor and guide baristas and teams, supporting professional growth and future career planning.
• Proactively visit cafés for quality checks, recipe calibration and skill audits—ensuring consistency and excellence everywhere.
• Collaborate with other leaders to embed coffee education into onboarding and ongoing reviews.
• Research and implement new industry trends and learning approaches into our training curriculum.

What You’ll Bring

• Minimum 5 years of hands‑on barista experience, with at least 3 years focused on training, mentoring or team leadership within specialty coffee.
• Deep knowledge of specialty coffee: cupping, sensory skills, advanced brewing techniques and quality assurance.
• Experience designing and executing training programs for multi‑site operations, including digital and blended learning environments.
• Strong communication skills in English and/or German; bilingual proficiency is an advantage.
• Ability to balance strategy with hands‑on support, and proven drive to raise standards across teams.
• Collaborative, charismatic and motivated to inspire and develop others in a fast‑moving, founder‑led culture.

Nice to Have

• Authorized SCA Trainer (AST) certification.
• Barista Skills Professional certificate (SCA Professional).
