We\’re a small but mighty team serving coffees out of our stores in Berlin, Munich, and Hamburg, with plans to expand across Germany. We\’re seeking an Area Manager in Munich to work directly with our Founding Team.

What you\’ll do:

As an Area Manager at LAP Coffee, you will play a key role in establishing our brand\’s success in Munich, aiming to become the largest coffee retailer in the city. If you are eager to join at an exciting growth phase and seek ownership, impact, and visibility, this is the right opportunity for you.

You will be responsible for transforming LAP into the largest coffee retail brand by 2025 and supporting the opening of new stores in Munich. Your duties include overseeing store operations—staffing, sales, P&L, and customer satisfaction. Occasionally, you will work behind the counter to motivate the team and ensure exceptional service while driving business growth and profitability.

• P&L ownership: Oversee and be accountable for the financial performance and strategic direction of a set of stores.

• Project planning: Develop action plans for business growth in collaboration with our Founders and City Manager.

• Team alignment: Facilitate Area Meetings, foster innovative ideas, and promote an open, collaborative business environment. Support team success through strong succession planning.

• Collaboration: Share company initiatives, act as a culture ambassador, and contribute to an engaging and inspiring workplace.

• Continuous improvement: Drive ongoing enhancements by meeting quality standards and initiating initiatives to deliver outstanding customer experiences.

What you bring:

• At least 7 years of leadership and operational experience in retail F&B, ideally with international chains. Experience in the coffee industry is a significant plus.

• Strong understanding of key retail F&B metrics, with the ability to interpret data and drive actions.

• Experience in employee performance management, benefits, and incentive programs that foster a winning culture.

• Willingness to travel occasionally to explore new locations and meet potential partners.

• An entrepreneurial, solution-oriented mindset, eager to work across all aspects of building a startup.

• Creative flair with an eye for growth opportunities; comfortable testing, failing fast, and working within tight deadlines and budgets.

• Fluent in English and German at a professional level.
