Job Overview :
The Global Distribution Manager will be responsible for building strong, collaborative relationships with selected global distribution partners, developing a global Distribution Partner Program, and establishing a network of distribution managers within the organization to ensure above-average sales growth. This role requires a deep understanding of the B2B distribution market for electrical components, ideally connectivity solutions such as cables, wires, and connectors, along with its market dynamics. The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker with exceptional sales and negotiation skills.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement a comprehensive distribution partner strategy and program to drive sales and market expansion in alignment with all stakeholders.
- Ensure above-average sales growth of Lapp’s Distribution Business in collaboration with countries and Global Online Distribution Management.
- Establish long-term, strategic partnerships with key distributors, ensuring mutual success and growth.
- Identify new market opportunities and collaborate with partners to penetrate these markets.
- Conduct regular distribution assessments to maintain a homogeneous global distribution landscape.
- Develop initiatives to enhance partner performance, including training, incentives, and marketing support.
- Define and manage POS data collection and maintenance processes with stakeholders.
- Work closely with internal teams such as Sales, Marketing, Product Management, Finance, and Supply Chain to align with business objectives.
- Deep understanding of B2B distribution sales channels and market dynamics.
Minimum Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience in distribution partner management, focusing on B2B electrical components, preferably wires, cables, and connectors.
- Proven success in building and managing global distribution partnerships.
- Understanding of various B2B sales channels and omni-channel sales strategies.
- Results-oriented with a hands-on approach to driving growth and achieving goals.
- Strong strategic thinking, problem-solving, and excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- High adaptability and resilience.
