Job Overview :

The Global Distribution Manager will be responsible for building strong, collaborative relationships with selected global distribution partners, developing a global Distribution Partner Program, and establishing a network of distribution managers within the organization to ensure above-average sales growth. This role requires a deep understanding of the B2B distribution market for electrical components, ideally connectivity solutions such as cables, wires, and connectors, along with its market dynamics. The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker with exceptional sales and negotiation skills.

Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and implement a comprehensive distribution partner strategy and program to drive sales and market expansion in alignment with all stakeholders.
  2. Ensure above-average sales growth of Lapp’s Distribution Business in collaboration with countries and Global Online Distribution Management.
  3. Establish long-term, strategic partnerships with key distributors, ensuring mutual success and growth.
  4. Identify new market opportunities and collaborate with partners to penetrate these markets.
  5. Conduct regular distribution assessments to maintain a homogeneous global distribution landscape.
  6. Develop initiatives to enhance partner performance, including training, incentives, and marketing support.
  7. Define and manage POS data collection and maintenance processes with stakeholders.
  8. Work closely with internal teams such as Sales, Marketing, Product Management, Finance, and Supply Chain to align with business objectives.
  9. Deep understanding of B2B distribution sales channels and market dynamics.

Minimum Requirements:

  1. 5+ years of experience in distribution partner management, focusing on B2B electrical components, preferably wires, cables, and connectors.
  2. Proven success in building and managing global distribution partnerships.
  3. Understanding of various B2B sales channels and omni-channel sales strategies.
  4. Results-oriented with a hands-on approach to driving growth and achieving goals.
  5. Strong strategic thinking, problem-solving, and excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  6. High adaptability and resilience.
