Senior PCB Design Engineer (m/f/x)
Join our R&D team and help develop next-generation professional audio, video, and broadcast products.
As a Senior PCB Design Engineer, you will transform complex electronic designs into reliable, manufacturable, and production-ready products. You will work closely with hardware, FPGA, software, mechanical, and manufacturing teams on high-performance FPGA- and embedded-based systems.
- Design and implement complex multilayer PCBs for FPGA- and embedded-based systems
- Create high-speed PCB layouts for interfaces such as DDR, Ethernet, PCIe, USB, LVDS, HDMI, DisplayPort, and comparable technologies
- Collaborate closely with hardware, FPGA, software, mechanical, and manufacturing teams throughout product development
- Support PCB stack-up definition, impedance control, power distribution, and signal integrity best practices
- Apply EMC-conscious design principles to ensure robust and reliable products
- Optimize designs for manufacturability, assembly, testability, and series production together with our in-house production team
- Support prototype bring-up, troubleshooting, and layout-related debugging
- Maintain PCB libraries, design rules, layout standards, and manufacturing documentation
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of PCB design methods and development processes
- Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, PCB Design, or a comparable qualification
- Several years of experience in the PCB design of complex electronic products
- Strong knowledge of high-speed PCB design, including differential pair and DDR routing, length matching, controlled impedance, and return path optimization
- Good understanding of EMC-conscious PCB design
- Experience with Cadence Allegro, Altium Designer or a comparable EDA solution
- Understanding of embedded systems and FPGA-based designs
- Structured, quality-focused, and solution-oriented working style with strong teamwork and communication skills
- Good English skills; good German skills are an advantage, but not a mandatory requirement
NICE TO HAVE
- Experience with EMC testing and compliance activities
- Experience with Signal Integrity and Power Integrity analysis
- Basic schematic design or hardware development knowledge
- Experience with DFM/DFA and electronic manufacturing processes
- Background in broadcast, professional audio/video, networking, telecommunications, or industrial electronics
