This position is a 43h contract - starting from 27th of November 2026 to 18th of April 2027.

As a Bramble Ski Chalet Chef, you are responsible for delivering an exceptional culinary experience that sits at the very heart of the guest journey. You create refined, beautifully presented food that elevates every stay, ensuring guests enjoy restaurant-quality dining in the comfort of their private alpine chalet.

This is a hands-on, creative, and highly rewarding role where attention to detail, organisation, and passion for food come together to shape unforgettable moments. From tailored menus to flawless execution, you ensure every meal reflects the standard and style of a luxury ski experience.

You work closely with the Chalet Manager and wider property team to deliver seamless service, anticipate guest preferences, and adapt menus where required—always ensuring consistency, quality, and excellence across every service.

Culinary Delivery & Guest Experience

Undertake all day-to-day chef duties to ensure guest expectations are consistently met and exceeded in line with the advertised package and company processes

Prepare breakfast, afternoon tea, canapés, and elegant evening meals to a high culinary standard

Occasionally prepare additional meals such as lunches or late-night snacks where agreed with resort or central management

Assist the Chalet Manager in delivering an exceptional and seamless guest experience throughout each booking

Plan seasonal menus in consultation with guests where required

Manage full food preparation processes including sourcing, prep, cooking, and presentation

Ensure menus reflect dietary requirements, preferences, and allergen restrictions at all times

Maintain flexibility to adapt menus based on guest needs and product availability

Undertake all food and drink ordering and shopping for the property using approved suppliers

Ensure supplier relationships are managed professionally and in line with company processes

Understand that supplier discounts and commissions are business revenue and must not be accepted privately

Be present at the property to receive and manage all deliveries

Kitchen Operations & Hygiene

Maintain best-in-class kitchen cleanliness and hygiene standards at all times

Ensure all kitchen areas, equipment, and surfaces are left spotless after each service and at the end of each booking

Follow strict food safety, storage, and handling procedures in line with company and legal standards

Stock, Budget & Administration

Manage chalet food budgets responsibly and maintain accurate accounts in line with resort processes

Conduct stocktakes and inventory checks throughout the season as instructed by management

Source additional items (e.g., kitchen equipment, crockery, ingredients) through approved systems only

Ensure no transfer of goods between properties without prior authorisation

Property & Team Support

Assist with chalet changeovers on turnover days alongside the property team

Support meet-and-greet guest arrivals and departures where required, including luggage assistance

Undertake basic property maintenance tasks when necessary (e.g., changing bulbs, minor fixes), escalating where appropriate

Support Chalet Manager in ensuring guest expectations are consistently exceeded

Compliance, Safety & Conduct

Ensure full compliance with all Health & Safety regulations and local laws

Never serve food containing known guest allergens

Uphold brand reputation through professional behaviour and consistent service excellence

Act immediately to report any property damage or issues

Follow company policy in all matters relating to guest safety, conduct, and service standards

Operations, Flexibility & Company Support

Attend all staff briefings and operational meetings as required

Support dispute resolution at a local level before escalation to management

Implement all company processes, updates, and operational procedures as instructed

May be required to support Haute Montagne bookings, including breakfast service or assisting another chef during the season

May be required to provide short-term cover across Bramble Ski or Haute Montagne operations in Austria, France, and Switzerland

Bramble Ski operates in accordance with Austrian labour law and applicable collective agreements.. Due to operational requirements, work on Saturdays and Sundays may be required, particularly during high season.

Working schedules are organized on a rotating basis and communicated at least one week in advance, in coordination with the wider team. All scheduling complies with Austrian regulations on working time, rest periods, and maximum weekly working hours.

Overtime is managed in line with Austrian labour law and applicable collective agreements and is compensated either through time off in lieu or payment, as legally required.

All scheduling and compensation practices must remain fully compliant with Austrian labour law, and adjustments will be made where necessary to ensure ongoing compliance.

Proven experience as a chef in luxury chalets, boutique hotels, private households, or high-end restaurants

Strong culinary skills with the ability to deliver high-quality, refined dishes consistently

Confident in full menu planning, preparation, cooking, and presentation for multi-course service

Highly organised with excellent time management and the ability to run a kitchen independently

Strong understanding of food hygiene, Health & Safety standards, and allergen management

Experience managing food budgets, stock control, ordering, and supplier relationships

Adaptable and calm under pressure, especially in remote or seasonal environments

Guest-focused mindset with a passion for delivering exceptional dining experiences

Flexible and willing to adjust menus and service styles based on guest preferences and requirements

Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach when working with chalet teams

Professional, discreet, and committed to maintaining brand standards and reputation

Willingness to support wider operations across Bramble Ski and Haute Montagne in Austria, France, and Switzerland when required

Phone Allowance - up to 40 CHF per month

Organised Ski Pass

Organised Insurance - deduction on your net pay (new insurance prices for 2027 will be official in October 2026 and will depend on age and resort)

Organised Accommodation - 1100 CHF deduction from your net pay

Seasonal Ski/Board Hire - subject to availability
