Job Description:

We are incepting a new product team at SAP LeanIX to provide Architecture Guidance to our customers. Using modern state-of-the-art AI-powered data analytics, the team will aggregate and utilize the data from our catalog and from workspaces across our customer base to derive insights that unlock actionable advice to guide architecture transformation.

We are looking for a motivated Senior Software Engineer – AI/Data to join us on our journey to grow and achieve our goals. You are the perfect candidate if you are passionate about delivering customer value, technical excellence, and working collaboratively as part of a diverse team. The position is mainly focused on AI engineering and data engineering topics.

These AI-powered solutions turn raw data into engaging, meaningful and actionable insights to guide our customer on there Enterprise Architecture journey, both in a practical but also in a first of it’s kind way.

Who Are We Looking For?

We’re seeking a Senior Software Engineer -AI/Data who brings technical expertise , a deep understanding of AI/LLMs, Data Engineering , and a collaborative mindset to build robust, innovative, and impactful backend systems.

Key Qualifications

• 4+ years of professional software engineering experience , preferable in backend development
• Experience in building business application using modern Generative AI, a plus would be even some first experience building AI Agents.
• Advanced expertise in Python , with a strong background in developing and deploying LLM applications and AI-powered systems .
• A practical experience in Data Engineering would be a plus , ideally using Databricks.
• Proficiency with RESTful APIs and GraphQL , designing data flow solutions at scale.
• Strive in agile environments , driving high-impact projects to completion while maintaining a focus on delivering high-quality, scalable code.
• Demonstrates strong collaboration , working seamlessly across teams and ensuring clear communication to achieve business and technical goals.

Bonus Points

• Familiarity with machine learning frameworks (e.g., Promptflow, TensorFlow, PyTorch) and integrating AI/ML models into production systems.
• Experience with LLM fine-tuning and deploying custom AI models at scale.
• Hands-on experience with Docker , Kubernetes , and setting up GitHub CI/CD pipelines .
• Familiarity with Azure , or other cloud platforms for deploying and managing scalable backend applications.
