Leidos currently has an opening for an IT Specialist Senior / Site Manager to support execution of projects on the SMIT contract and to be in Boblingen, Germany. This is an on-site position to cover both Germany and Italy locations. The selected candidate will oversee the operation of network systems, architecture, and topology through deployment and oversight of network operations specialists. The qualified candidate will also perform asset scanning and logging of assets that have been delivered in accordance with established Government directives for both Lab and Production assets.
SMIT is the largest IT services program for the Navy. As a member of the Leidos team, you will assist in the delivery of the core backbone of the Navy-Marine Corps Intranet, including cybersecurity services, network operations, service desk, and data transport. Ultimately, Leidos will support the Navy in unifying its shore-based networks and data management to improve capability and service while also saving significant dollars by focusing efforts under one enterprise network.
IT Specialist Senior duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Perform advanced systems installation, operation, integration, and troubleshooting to maintain optimum Information Technology (IT) system operations.

Design and oversee upgrades and new installations of IT systems and services ensuring coordination with Cyber Security Specialist.

Perform Tier III upgrades of networking systems, IT systems, and storage networking.

Perform Tier III troubleshooting, optimization, and performance management of Internet Protocol (IP), Domain Name System (DNS), Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol (DHCP), and routing protocols.

Integrate enterprise, regional, and local IT systems ensuring current network operations are sustained or oversee their recovery.
Site Manager Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Serve as Site Manager for Resource Managers to head-up, supervise and represent the team on-site responsible for ensuring that all program goals and objectives are accomplished within the prescribed timeframe, budgetary parameters and to the customer’s satisfaction.

Provide performance feedback and coaching to direct reports.

Manage administrative duties for team, to include team scheduling, time-off requests, coordinating training, special initiatives, professional development, etc., ensuring compliance with Leidos policies.
Basic Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, MIS, Business, or related field. Experience may be substituted in lieu of degree.

US Citizen with an active DoD Secret clearance and the ability to obtain a Top-Secret clearance.

Ten (10) years of IT experience including Internet Protocol version 6 (IPv6), Enhanced Interior Gateway Routing Protocol (EIGRP), Border Gateway Protocol (BGP), Virtual Local Area Networks (VLANs), Virtual Private Networks (VPNs), and Network Address Translation (NAT).

Must have experience working for MCIPAC G-6, 3rd Net Bn and MCCOG Det coordination and support.

Must possess an Information Assurance Technician (IAT) Level II certification and a Microsoft 3 Star or Expert Level certification.

Must be able to pass TESA requirements.

Pay Range:
Pay Range $92,300.00 - $166,850.00
