Senior Sales Manager Public Sector m/f/d

We are Lenovo, a global technology powerhouse, and we are expanding our public sector business in Germany and Austria. We are looking for a passionate and enthusiastic Sr. Sales Manager for the South region to manage our public sales teams, align with the Inside Sales Manager, and support Lenovo unit strategies.

Responsibilities

  • Manage, lead, and encourage the Public Sales team
  • Support the customer relationship, primarily through face‑to‑face sales
  • Maintain relationships with involved business partners
  • Support cluster planning process and public‑specific requirements (account planning, opportunity identification)
  • Responsible for demand planning, outlook forecast planning and reporting in appropriate tools
  • Drive a healthy commit culture for weekly reporting and forecasting
  • Guide, motivate, develop and retain the team in times of change
  • Act as internal communicator and build a strong internal interlock

Requirements

  • 7+ years of sales experience with a minimum of 3 years in management, preferably in solution business
  • Proven track record of success selling in a highly competitive environment
  • Professional knowledge of business acumen, including an understanding of customer business, industry, economic trends, issues and competition in a global view, especially in the public sector
  • Comprehensive understanding of sales processes and sales management techniques
  • Experience managing and motivating a diverse, high‑performing sales team and familiarity with managing in a matrix environment
  • Set clear performance standards, provide straightforward feedback in a respectful way
  • Fluency in German and English
  • Position can be located in Stuttgart or a home office location in South Germany
