IT Project Manager Position Purpose & key responsibilities of the role
In this role, you will work at the interface between business and IT and contribute significantly to the continuous improvement of processes, systems, and data structures across the organization.
You will lead and manage IT projects and programs throughout the entire project lifecycle, planning, coordinating, and monitoring project scope, timelines, budgets, and resources.
You will support the development and enhancement of project management, release management and governance standards.
You will contribute to Business Process Management initiatives and process harmonization activities, collaborating with internal business units, external partners, and management stakeholders.
You will be responsible for release and Go-Live Management (Cutover, Go/No-Go, Hypercare, Handover to Operations) including Governance & Portfolio Alignment (Digital Portfolio / Digital Steering Board).
You will support the development and improvement of Data Management and Data Governance structures.
Our expectations for this exciting role
You hold a Bachelor's or Maser's degree in
Business Informatics, IT, Economics, or a comparable field .
You have
8+ years of experience
leading complex, international, multi-stakeholder IT programs (multi-stream delivery).
You bring expertise in
traditional, Agile, and Hybrid methodologies
selecting the right approach based on context.
You demonstrate strong capabilities in
scope definition, change control, and risk management
(identification, mitigation, escalation).
You have experience in
release and go-live activities
(cutover, hypercare) and leverage tools such as Jira/BigPicture and Confluence.
You understand
business process management (BPM) and Data Governance , and you communicate very effectively with cross-functional stakeholders.
You are experienced in financial governance including budgeting, forecasting, OPEX, and benefits tracking.
You are fluent in both
German and English .

The monthly gross salary for this position is according to collective agreement in the chemical industry based on 38 working hours/week at least EUR 4.300,- with a willingness to overpay – depending on qualifications and experience.
