The role

• Medical Information
• Provision of timely, accurate, appropriate and clear verbal and written information in response to enquiries about the Critical Care portfolio or therapy area in order to facilitate the appropriate, effective, safe and continued use of these products.
• The day to day point of contact for the Outsourcing vendor, including responsibility for escalated enquiries concerning the Critical Care portfolio.

Flagging potential issues to GMI Outsourcing and Partner Manager in a timely manner.

Provision of product and disease area training as required for local issues that may have a potential impact on enquiry numbers.

• Responsible for proactively creating, managing and maintaining local Scientific Response Documents (SRDs) and Fa Qs for Critical Care, including translation if relevant.

Content such as SRDs and Fa Qs should always be balanced, accurate, current and of high scientific value.

Appropriate processes should be followed, to include medical review/approval of responses where needed locally.

All such documentation should be Authority, Inspection and audit ready at all times.

• Establish and cultivate a good working relationship with internal stakeholders such as Affiliate Medical Affairs, marketing, sales, safety, and regulatory and global colleagues to ensure the Medical Information services provided are relevant to the business needs, and that development opportunities are identified.
• If relevant, Legal Medical Regulatory (LMR) Reviews (copy approval) – technical review of local material (Medical and Commercial), ensuring it has been correctly interpreted from scientific and other relevant medical references/materials.
• Provide accurate and scientific information for the Critical Care portfolio requested by local and global LEO Pharma colleagues.
• Support and provision of internal training for the Critical Care portfolio.
• Monitor and maintain local Medical Information enquiry metrics and KPIs aligned to GMI and local Critical Care requirements.
• Supporting external and internal audits for Medical Information activities.
• Create and maintain Affiliate Data on File and clinical summaries for the Critical Care Portfolio as required.

Competitive Medical Information Strategy

• Provide high level scientific input, by delivering an expert bibliographic service, including in-depth searches, literature analysis/reviews, bibliometric evaluation, providing evidence-based answers and analysis for innovative portfolio in response to external enquiries aligned to the local Critical Care Medical Affairs and Commercial strategy.
• Support the growth of the business by identifying, analysing and reporting trends in local medical and scientific insights (including medical enquiries) to relevant local Critical Care Medical Affairs, other local stakeholders and GMI (including quarterly MI updates to German affiliate).
• Assess the need to update or build scientific materials (local SRDs), local training materials etc) for the Critical Care portfolio.
• Develop innovative high-value initiatives to support local Medical Affairs and local business activities including innovative digital platforms.
• Congress
• Lead Medical Information/Scientific Information Booth activities at Local Congress and Global Congress for Critical Care where relevant.

This will include the provision of face-to-face balanced and non-promotional scientific information on the LEO Pharma Critical Care marketed and pipeline products to Congress attendees including but not limited to Key LEO Pharma Stakeholders/Healthcare Professionals.

Ensure that all interactions are logged, tracked and closed in the Global Medical Information Database.

• Global Medical Information
• Actively contribute to the Global Medical Information strategy and department activities, including participation in GMI projects and tasks as required
• Build strong and collaborative relationships with other LEO Pharma Medical Information colleagues to build synergies and help drive efficiencies.
• Take accountability to maintain an excellent knowledge and understanding of all ethics and governance relevant to the role (including LEO Pharma policies and procedures, industry codes of practice and relevant legal requirements such as GDPR/Data Protection requirements).

To be expert in relevant local regulations.

• Support and assist the Global Medical Information Regions Team Manager as required

Your Profile

• Scientific, medical or pharmaceutical degree level with a Ph D or equivalent qualification
• Desirable to have at least 2-5 years’ experience or equivalent in a Medical Information role in the pharmaceutical industry
• Have a strong and high level of scientific knowledge to be able to analyse data from all types of clinical data including Clinical Study Reports and published data in all forms etc.
• Must have proven strong technical/scientific writing skills and verbal communication including face to face with Healthcare Professionals and presenting to a variety of audiences
• Proven high level technical and compliance skills when reviewing LMR materials and authoring SOPs and other high-level process driven documentation
• In-depth knowledge and efficiency in Medical Information systems
• English proficiency at business level, both verbal and written
