Job Description:
We are looking for a Spacecraft Operations Analyst. This position is based at EUMETSAT in Darmstadt.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain the operational S/C TMTC Database (MIB) and the associated tools and scripts.
- Initiate and coordinate the deployment of databases and other operational items under configuration control to the operational system environments.
- Perform the incoming inspection of the Satellite Reference Databases (SRDB) from the Satellite manufacturer and prepare it for operational usage.
- Participate in joint meetings with external partners.
- Participate and report in operations meetings with the FCT and other teams as required.
- Develop and maintain operational documentation under configuration control.
- Monitor, analyse and report Spacecraft routine activities, events and anomalies.
- Support mission preparation activities.
- Identify and support team training activities.
- Provide on-call support to the operations team as required (24/7 On-call Analyst Service).
- Perform additional Analyst tasks as defined by the supervisor.
Essential Skills and Qualifications
- Degree in a science or Technical discipline.
- Minimum 1 year of experience in Spacecraft Operations as a Spacecraft Controller within EUMETSAT environment
- Good IT skills (Database, SQL, Programming).
- Good communication skills.
- Good English skills, both oral and written.
Desirable Skills
- METEOSAT Controller Certification will be an asset.
- Applicants with knowledge of Python, Visual Basic or SQL will be given preference
