Overview
As Head of Index Exotic Trading, you will lead the desk to shape strategy and execution across index derivatives and exotic structures. You drive P&L growth through market-making and innovative structuring in a fast-paced environment. You will manage risk, pricing, and capital usage while collaborating with sales, structuring, and research to deliver integrated institutional solutions. Your leadership will guide junior traders and quants and ensure governance and regulatory standards are met. This role offers impact at scale within Leonteq’s innovative trading platform.
Verantwortungsbereiche
- Lead the Index Exotic Trading desk including daily risk, pricing, and execution
- Drive P&L growth via market-making, structuring opportunities, and strategic positioning
- Oversee risk limits, hedging, and capital usage across a complex book
- Collaborate with sales, structuring, and research to deliver institutional solutions
- Lead development of new products across equity-linked notes, volatility & correlation strategies, and structured index exposures
- Engage with compliance, model validation, and senior management to ensure governance standards
- Mentor junior traders, structurers, and quants
- Represent the business in governance forums and market discussions
Zentrale Anforderungen
- 8+ years of experience in equity derivatives trading with exposure to index exotics
- Proven leadership in running a trading book with risk and P&L responsibility
- Expertise in volatility, correlation, dividends, structured products, and cross-asset hedging
- Strong quantitative background (e.g., mathematics, engineering, physics, quantitative finance)
- Proven ability to collaborate with structuring, sales, and risk functions
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure trading environment
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Fluency in English; additional languages are a plus
