Location: Fully Remote (U.S. Based)
Compensation: $140K--$190K Base + Bonus

An established, independently owned CPA & advisory firm is looking to add an experienced Tax Manager or Senior Tax Manager to its growing tax practice. The firm offers the complexity, resources and career opportunities you'd expect from a larger CPA firm, while maintaining a more personal environment with a strong emphasis on flexibility, work-life balance and long-term career growth.
The firm gives Tax Managers a high level of autonomy over their clients and teams, along with the opportunity to work closely with experienced Partners and leadership. There is plenty of room for continued growth, including a path to Partner for those interested, while still offering flexibility for professionals who want to build a long-term career at the Manager or Senior Manager level.
This role will manage a diverse portfolio of privately held businesses, business owners and high-net-worth individuals across multiple industries. You'll oversee complex tax compliance engagements while also working directly with clients on tax planning and consulting, with exposure across partnerships, S-Corps, C-Corps and individuals.
Responsibilities
- Manage tax compliance, planning and consulting engagements from start to finish
- Review complex federal and multi-state tax returns for partnerships, S-Corps, C-Corps and individuals
- Serve as a primary point of contact for clients and provide ongoing tax planning and advisory support
- Manage engagement timelines, workflow and deliverables
- Review and mentor Senior and Staff-level professionals
- Work directly with Partners on complex tax matters and client relationships
Requirements
- 5+ years of public accounting tax experience
- Tax Manager or Senior Tax Manager-level experience
- Active CPA required
- Strong experience with partnerships, S-Corps and privately held businesses
- Experience managing client relationships and reviewing complex tax engagements
- Multi-state tax experience
- Real estate tax experience is a plus
