We are currently looking for a Credit Officer on behalf of one of our clients, a private bank based in Geneva, for a 6-month fixed-term contract. Responsibilities Manage the end-to-end credit underwriting process in close collaboration with Front Office teams. Structure and prepare complex credit requests for approval by the relevant decision‑making authorities. Monitor Lombard facilities, Loan-to-Value (LTV) ratios and margin requirements, particularly in relation to derivative transactions. Assess collateral quality, oversee high-risk credit exposures and ensure compliance with internal credit policies. Validate loan drawdowns, cash transfers, securities transfers, bank guarantees and other credit-related operations. Act as a trusted partner to Relationship Managers by providing technical expertise on credit structuring, exception management and margin-related matters. Collaborate closely with the Credit Committee, Trading and Asset Management teams to ensure effective credit risk oversight. Maintain accurate documentation and contribute to the continuous improvement of internal processes and operational efficiency. Support management reporting through the preparation of KPIs, statistics and credit-related dashboards. Profile Minimum 5 years of experience in a Credit function within a Swiss private bank, with solid exposure to Lombard lending. Proven experience managing complex credit transactions and collateralised financing structures. Strong knowledge of derivatives, OTC products, financial markets and private banking services. Excellent understanding of credit risk management principles and banking operations. Strong analytical, communication and organisational skills. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
