Junior Underwriter Fine Art & Specie in Köln

Administration and underwrite business in accordance with the business plan and within delegated underwriting authority

Responsibilities

• Data entry and control of new offers and policies as well as inventory policies in the Liberty systems
• Management of the filing (physical and electronic) according to specifications and in the framework of Liberty’s internal regulations (guidelines)
• Checking and obtaining further risk relevant information, e.g. review/execution of art valuations for insurance purposes (e.g. artnet)
• Assistance in the processing of insurance offers and policies (correspondence, primarily in German)
• Independent communication with brokers/clients regarding policies, offers, insurance products etc.
• Assistance in organization and execution of broker/customer events and participation in art fairs
• Support for reporting (monthly accumulation report etc.)
• General office work

Requirements

• Excellent cooperation with the Fine Art & Specie team in Cologne and Europe
• Several years of experience in administration
• Know-how and/or interest in art/art market
• Languages: Main communication in German and English
• Flexible, independent and structured work style and assumption of the associated responsibility
• Resilient, can keep track even in stressful times and prioritize tasks
• Interest in insurance, that means insurance knowledge of advantage
• Dedicated to support a small team and coping together with a rapidly growing business volume
• University or university degree beneficial
