ppThe Data Architect, Enterprise Data Catalogue Lead implements, rolls out, and operates Liebherr's Enterprise Data Catalogue, strengthening the strategic management of data assets across a complex, multi-domain landscape. Reporting to the Global Data Architect and working with Data Domain Architects, Corporate Data Governance, and business stakeholders, the role establishes and continuously improves the catalogue as a trusted source of information about the Group's data, aligned with corporate standards and governance. It suits someone who not only executes but proposes, takes initiative, and drives initiatives through to adoption. /p h3Responsibilities /h3 ul liDrive the implementation, deployment, and Group-wide rollout of the Enterprise Data Catalogue across a complex, heterogeneous system landscape, driving adoption across business and IT teams. /li liOwn the catalogue in operation: maintain, administer, and continuously improve it once live, ensuring data remains accurate, complete, and up to date. /li liDesign and configure metadata ingestion, data classification, and data lineage across multiple data domains and source systems. /li liLead the catalogue as a cross‑functional initiative spanning all Group divisions, coordinating stakeholders toward a shared outcome. /li liDefine and run the operating model for the catalogue - onboarding new domains and sources, managing releases and upgrades, and monitoring usage and data quality over time. /li liProactively propose improvements to catalogue structure, governance processes, and adoption strategy. /li liSupport the definition of data standards and contribute to the evolution of the global data architecture. /li liDocument and manage system‑agnostic data definitions across multiple data domains. /li liCreate and maintain conceptual and logical data models following corporate templates, including LeanIX modelling and architectural documentation. /li liCollaborate closely with Data Domain Architects and Business Representatives to ensure consistency and quality. /li liSupport the coordination and implementation of data governance initiatives and frameworks. /li /ul h3Competencies /h3 ul liA degree in Information Technology, Business Informatics, Data Management, or a related field. /li liAt least 5+ years of experience in data architecture or data governance, including hands‑on implementation and operation of a data catalogue (e.g. Collibra, Alation, Atlan, Microsoft Purview, OpenMetadata, or DataHub). /li liProven experience managing complex, cross‑functional projects across multiple divisions and stakeholder groups. /li liProven experience deploying, integrating, and running tooling in a complex, multi‑source enterprise environment. /li liSolid understanding of metadata management, data classification, and data lineage. /li liKnowledge of data modelling techniques (conceptual, logical, physical) and data governance principles. /li liA proactive, proposal‑driven mindset, with proven experience of identifying gaps and driving improvements through to adoption. /li liStrong stakeholder management and the ability to drive and sustain adoption across diverse business and IT teams. /li liKnowledge of the SAP data model, knowledge graphs, or graph‑based metadata models is a plus. /li liFamiliarity with LeanIX is preferred, or a strong willingness to learn. /li liBroad knowledge of database systems (SQL and NoSQL) is a plus. /li liExperience in manufacturing, industrial, or heavy equipment environments is a strong advantage. /li liFluent English required; German and French are a plus. /li liReadiness for occasional travel. /li /ul h3Our offer /h3 pWe offer you a secure job, progressive and family‑friendly employment conditions such as flexible working hours, hybrid working and opportunities for further training. /p pThe Companybr/Liebherr‑International AG with its head office in Bulle is the holding company of the Liebherr Group and performs various functions in the areas finance, tax, auditing, legal, insurance, HR, and corporate communication.
